An Association of 13 women groups with a total membership of about 350 in the Tamale, Wurushie area involved in the processing/ extraction and marketing of Unrefined Virgin Shea butter using traditional processing methods.
The objectives of the Association are:
- To promote the economic interests of the members in the production of shea butter and thereby helping alleviate poverty.
- To build a facility to house their processing units,
- To market their virgin Shea butter and related value added products they will produce,
- To build a health clinic and a pre-school/nursery for the community,
- To provide training to all members in improved processing methods, quality control issues and marketing of the product.
The Association has a capacity of producing13 metric tons a month.
The Association is led by Madam Fati Zakaria, and her vice Madam Martha Yakubu. Each of the 13 groups also has a group leader and her assistant

To help the members of the Association obtain their own processing facility, start up capital, health clinic and a preschool for their community you may donate a portion of your sales to "The Suhuyini Co-operative Fund"
In appreciation of their dedication and hard work we at Naasakle Ltd have dedicated a webpage for them. The site tells you about their efforts and what is going on in their community. Apart from donations you may order directly from them by emailing us at naasakle@sheabuttergh.com stating specifically that you want your shea butter order to be filled by the women’s group. We will pass the order on to them and help them with the export documentation. Such orders will be shipped with our bulk shipments to our distributor in the USA for pick up or further shipment by UPS to you. Please note orders must be 500lbs minimum for it to be worth the effort.
